Our entire community is invited to attend the University Day events on Wednesday, April 13. University Day will focus on sustainability projects and initiatives on campus, with our joint Giving Day supporting the senior class gift campaign to raise money to establish the Franklin University Switzerland Green Office and first Green Office in Switzerland. The Green Office is a student-led hub and a space for collaboration and real-world applications of sustainability policies within the university community and beyond.

Another experiential learning component of the Franklin experience is having a Life-Long Learning Scholarship (LLLS) position. All undergraduate students are invited to apply for open Life-Long Learning Scholarship (LLLS) positions for Summer and academic year 2022-2023 between April 11 and 29 by sending a completed application form along with a resume/CV directly to the supervisors of up to 3 positions. The LLLS Student Manual, LLLS application form, the list of open LLLS positions, and details about the LLLS Resume/CV Workshop on April 14 will be shared in the Franklin App starting this afternoon.

As a reminder, Franklin continues to require medical-grade masks in all classrooms, meeting spaces (conference rooms, offices, etc.), libraries, auditorium, hallways and common areas of residence halls, during on-campus events/programs, and in shared offices through at least 19 April 2022.

Students who test positive for COVID and have symptoms are to self-isolate until symptoms subside. Students who test positive for COVID will not be allowed to attend in-person classes or campus activities and need to request to attend classes online; students have to provide their professors and the Coordinator of Student Medical Services with proof of a positive COVID test. Students who test positive may return to class and campus activities after they self-isolate for at least five days and are symptom-free for at least 48 hours.

Our community is reminded that Franklin will be closed on Monday, April 18. This is also a holiday in Ticino and most stores and some restaurants will be closed.
