Vitoria Gomes Araujo

Major in International Management

I am Vitória Gomes Araújo, a third-year student at Franklin University Switzerland, where I am pursuing a degree in International Management with a focus on the sustainable luxury industry. Originally from Brazil, I am an active member of the Franklin community, serving as a research assistant, resident assistant, Alumni and Student Outreach Coordinator, and contributing to the university's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. I also participate in Next in Management, a student-led initiative within the Business and Economics division. Through this program, I gain a professional understanding of the business environment by learning from guest speakers’ experiences, exploring event planning, and collaborating with my peers. Passionate about the business world, I always seek opportunities to grow. For me, Next in Management represents a valuable chance to develop networking skills and gain workplace experience. I am excited to continue making a meaningful impact through my involvement in the initiative.

Denzel Louis

Major in Finance

I am an independent and self-motivated third-year finance major in Switzerland. My studies in Switzerland gave me a deep understanding of intercultural values and fostered a nuanced perspective on international markets with a focused interest in the Capital Markets. My interest in banking stems from learning about one of the first digital bonds issued in Lugano, which further enhanced my eagerness to learn and forge a career in Investment Banking. As I seek an impactful career, I am pursuing an internship to leverage my unique skills and experiences and learn from and contribute to a visionary team.

Next-In Management allows me to cultivate ideas alongside other brilliant minds. It has created an atmosphere where each individual effort, success, failure, or barricade will teach us invaluable skills that are useful in the real world. Next-IN management allows us to utilize our network and the unique local market of Lugano, which are tangible assets, and we capitalize on it by building personalized relationships with the local business community.

George Whittaker Curry

Major in International Management

Following a four-year Franklin University program, I major in International Marketing Management and expect to graduate in 2025. Although I was born in England, my family relocated to Switzerland when I was just two years old. After three years at TASIS England, I spent most of my elementary education at Zurich International School. I eventually ended up at Franklin, and I have loved it ever since. I love to be in the mountains and appreciate the incredible beauty of the Swiss Alps. I am eager to keep discovering new industries and ways of working around me.

I have been a Next in Management student for the last two years, where we make events that offer students networking opportunities, providing insight into the industry and access to experts. For those running it, it's not just about event management but also about teamwork, professionalism, and communication—essential skills for navigating the professional world. I have improved my professional demeanor, and I thoroughly enjoy working with the Next in Management team.
