For students interested in particular majors, FUS is proud to offer an option for a 3-year accelerated bachelor’s degree. As a student, you’ll not only benefit academically because of a more focused learning environment, but you’ll also take advantage of the cost savings resulting from this accelerated academic journey.
Degree in three
The “degree in three” concept isn’t a new idea, as most countries in the European Higher Education Area offer 3-year bachelor’s degrees. Even with the 3-year model, the degree will require the completion of 120 US credits. How is this possible, you may ask? Across the world, students are completing high school programs that are focused on strong University preparation and many Universities are recognizing these programs for credits that count towards their future degree. This option grants students a jump start on their introductory level University courses.
Eligibility
The 3-year Bachelor’s degree (either BA or BS) is ideal for those students who are dedicated learners, have followed an academically rigorous high school curriculum and have their mind set on a specific academic major at the time of their application for admission. This accelerated degree is designed for students with specific high school academic credentials who are admitted to Franklin with advanced standing credit, equivalent to 30 US credits.
Some examples of high school credentials granting university credit:
- IB Higher Level and Standard Level subjects with scores of
5, 6, 7 - Swiss Matura
- Italian Maturita’
- German Abitur
- French Baccalaureate
- British A-Levels: final mark of A*, A, B, C
- AP Courses: scores of 4,5
- Dual Enrollment
