Welcome to the start of the Spring Semester at Franklin University Switzerland!
Yesterday, January 22, marked the much-anticipated first day of classes of the new semester. With the serene backdrop of the Swiss Alps, our campus is once again alive with the vibrant energy of students, both returning and new, ready to embark on a journey of discovery and growth.
This semester, we welcome 20 new students, including some from our partner universities, Chapman University and Emerson College. These students, coming from different parts of the world, bring with them a wealth of perspectives and experiences that enrich our community.
Before classes began, these new students enjoyed a fun and informative Orientation program led by our dedicated staff, faculty, and Orientation Mentors, that helped them get to know Franklin and life in Switzerland, ensuring a smooth transition for these newcomers. Not only meetings and info sessions, but also dinners, game nights, shopping trips, and little adventures around Lugano were organized to help them make new friends and get ready for their studies.
The start of a new semester is always a time of promise and potential. At Franklin, we embrace this new beginning with open arms, ready to tackle the challenges and seize the opportunities that lie ahead. Our commitment to providing a global education, grounded in real-world experiences and cultural immersion, remains steadfast.
Now that our returning students are back, the campus transformed into a hub of shared stories and renewed aspirations. Their arrival signified the completion of our Franklin community, ready to step into the new semester. As we embark on this journey together, we look forward to the amazing events that will unfold. Guest lectures, academic travels, community service opportunities, and a multitude of student-led activities await. Each of these experiences is a step towards broadening our horizons, understanding the world better, and shaping ourselves into global citizens.
