Included in this update: COVID positive case reporting and recommendations to keep our community healthy and safe.
Franklin will continue to notify our community of any positive COVID cases among individuals who were on campus any time during the five days before their diagnosis. Franklin provides weekly updates for our COVID positive case reporting on this Moodle site to notify our community and provide COVID related information and support resources.
The current COVID-19 Franklin policy is outlined below:
- Individuals who develop flu-like symptoms are required to wear a mask on the Franklin campus, isolate from others, and get tested as soon as possible.
- Individuals who test positive with a COVID home-test are encouraged to follow-up with a Rapid Antigen or PCR COVID test. COVID tests ordered by a medical doctor are included in the Swiss health insurance coverage and will be subject to your health insurance’s deductible and copayment provisions. The costs of a COVID test without a medical doctor’s prescription will be the responsibility of the individual.
- Franklin community members who test positive for COVID-19 are expected to self-isolate for 5 days.
- Students who test positive are expected submit their COVID-19 test result (Rapid Antigen or PCR) to medicalservices@fus.edu and to their professors to request to join class online. Please note, a COVID home-test will not be valid for online learning requests.
- Contact the Coordinator of Student Medical Services medicalservices@fus.edu for COVID reporting, health advice, and support.
Please remember to wear a mask if you develop flu-like symptoms and if you test positive for COVID you are expected to self-isolate for 5 days. What you do matters. Thank you for help keeping our community safe.
As a reminder, the Franklin community is invited to attend events and programs posted in the Franklin App and on the University Calendar.
