We are midway through the semester! I hope the midterm exams period is going well for all of you. Make sure you are taking care of yourself.

We are proud to report that we continue to have zero COVID-19 cases among students on campus. Keep up the good work by remaining vigilant and taking all the necessary precautions.

As a reminder, all students and faculty enrolled in academic travel will be tested for COVID-19 on October 15, 16 or 18, 2021. If you have not done so yet, please submit your Academic Travel release and health form as soon as possible. Both the test and the form are mandatory to be able to participate in academic travel. Also, we are confirming again that all students on academic travel must return to campus with their group. We believe this will give us a better chance of keeping the community safe and being able to have all students resume classes regularly on November 2.

All Franklin students will be tested for COVID-19 on November 3 and 4, 2021. This will ensure both your safety and the well-being of the community at large. Because this is a large undertaking for us, students need to abide by the testing time to which they have been assigned and cannot request an alternate appointment. Thank you for any sacrifices you have to make for the benefit of the greater good.

Switzerland has extended the deadline to convert your foreign COVID vaccination to be issued with a Swiss QR code certificate to Sunday, October 24, 2021. If you have not yet started the process, please do so today! Contact the Coordinator of Student Medical Services and Well-Being if you have additional questions about your situation, or if you still need to share your status with us.

Unless there is a major announcement, we will not have another weekly update until everyone’s return to classes on Tuesday, November 2. As a reminder, offices are closed on Monday, November 1. Enjoy the academic travel period until then!
