Franklin’s Board of Trustees has launched the Franklin New Donor Challenge, a special matching gift initiative to inspire new donations. If we can gather 200 or more donations, each of at least $10, these trustees will unlock an additional $35,000 to enhance the Franklin Fund.

This weekend, we were delighted to hear from alumnus Kurt Van Keppel ’84 who was inspired by the Board of Trustee’s New Donor Challenge! He has issued a challenge of his own!
Kurt will match every alumni contribution to this challenge, up to $1,000!

Our trustees bring a wealth of diverse experiences and perspectives, which greatly contribute to supporting Franklin's unique liberal arts education and mission. Their collective dedication to nurturing responsible, compassionate, and collaborative leaders is a testament to the deep connections and personal histories they share with Franklin. Whether through direct attendance, family connections, or professional and personal affiliations, the trustees' commitment ensures that the university continues to positively engage with and impact the world.
Because of these strong personal connections to the university, they have decided to commit to this challenge and further support Franklin's growth and success.

These Franklin leaders have launched this grant challenge to encourage new donations. The goal is to support scholarships, enhance the learning environment, and strengthen our academic identity. This matching challenge will significantly increase the Franklin Fund, our annual fund, and help us achieve key goals of our 2030 Strategy.
The Matching Gift Challenge
Our goal is clear: by June 30, 2024, if Franklin's total number of donations reaches 400, these generous leaders will donate an additional $35,000 to the Franklin Fund. With nearly 200 donations already this year, we need just 200 more contributions of $10 or more to unlock this impactful gift for our students!
