On October 5, 2024, Franklin alumni gathered on the reserved patio of ISM Brewery in downtown Long Beach for an afternoon of fun, food, and connection. Organized by Conner Crawford (Class of 2012), Alumni Council Vice President and Southern California Alumni Club Chair, the event provided a relaxed atmosphere for alumni to share stories while enjoying delicious snacks, sandwiches, BBQ, and salads.

The Southern California Alumni Club is known for being a very active alumni network, having organized two successful gatherings over the summer: a lively Swiss National Day celebration and a delicious BBQ in La Jolla. With nearly 400 alumni residing in Southern California, there is a vibrant community eager to connect and engage. These gatherings not only strengthen connections among alumni but also foster a sense of belonging and support within the community.

During the Long Beach event, Conner shared exciting updates about the university and showcased photos and brochures of the campus, further encouraging alumni to stay involved and participate in future activities. The enthusiasm and camaraderie displayed during the event highlighted the importance of alumni engagement in building a thriving network.

A big thank you to Conner for bringing everyone together for such an enjoyable afternoon! We look forward to seeing alumni at future events and continuing to strengthen our community ties.
