Enjoy the first public and free event in the city center dedicated to Lugano's university students.
The City of Lugano, in collaboration with Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), Scuola Universitaria Professionale della Svizzera italiana (SUPSI), Franklin University Switzerland (FUS), and Lugano Region, is excited to announce the first public event for university students studying in Lugano, as well as anyone else who would like to attend.
This event marks the beginning of the new academic year 2024/2025. It will be an opportunity for students from different institutions to meet informally, discover what Lugano has to offer, make new friends, and become part of the Lugano University community.
Due to weather, the event has been postponed to Friday, September 27, 2025, at the Exhibition Center.

Free Live Music - 4:00 pm - 11:30 pm
A DJ set and live music will bring the Exhibition Center to life throughout the afternoon and evening.
Competition between Universities - 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Depending on the weather, either a pedal boat competition on the lake or an indoor race will be held between students from USI, SUPSI, and FUS. The awards ceremony will be held at 9:30 pm, featuring numerous prizes for participants.
Village (Expo Area) - 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The city and its event partners will host an exhibition village at the Exhibition Center (MAC 6), offering students and the public a chance to explore activities and initiatives promoted by the municipal administration. This event will connect citizens with local institutions, providing insight into Lugano’s cultural, sports, volunteering, and job opportunities, as well as its digital innovation scene. The village will also feature contributions from universities, student associations, the Lugano Tourist Board, RSI Spam, YouTi, and StraLugano, beginning on 28 September.
Food & Drinks - 4:00 pm - 11:30 pm
The Exhibition Center will feature a variety of refreshments, street food, and food trucks. Students can pick up vouchers, provided by main sponsors Banca Stato and MyLugano, at the Village area.

The MyLugano city app and its LVGA token provide cashback at over 400 venues across Lugano. Visit the MyLugano stand in Piazza Rezzonico to explore LVGA vouchers and discover special surprises for Enjoy Lugano participants.
Gather your team and join the most exciting university competition of the year in Lugano!
Students from USI, SUPSI, and FUS will race across Lake Lugano in the iconic red pedal boats, in a fun and spirited event designed to foster community.
Spectators can cheer from the shore, with live commentary by RSI BarNüm.
Prizes for the winning teams include a weekend stay in the Lugano region, courtesy of Lugano Region, along with other surprises. The race is part of the public Enjoy Lugano event.
Register by September 22, 2024. The award ceremony will take place at 9:30 p.m. in Piazza Riforma during the Enjoy Lugano event.
